Our Client
Is looking for an individual who can work on their own initiative to ensure their building is managed in line with their expectation, in return you will be given the autonomy to manage your own workload and duties. Our client, a multi-occupied office and retail building in Birmingham city centre, is seeking a Buildings Manager to help transform it into a vibrant hub and a significant income-generating asset.
Role Overview
As the Buildings Manager, you will play a critical role in managing their building, ensuring it is well-maintained, whilst supporting our clients operations and maximizing revenue. You will be responsible for day-to-day estates management, tenant relationships, and health and safety compliance, while also driving the transformation and renovation of the building.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estates Management - Oversee and manage the physical infrastructure, including planned maintenance, inspections, and contractor management.
2. Income Generation - Maximize the resale and rental value of the property, manage tenant relations, and ensure all lettable space is occupied.
3. Health and Safety - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage associated risks.
4. Financial Management - Manage budgets, monitor income against expenditure, and support financial planning.
Our client is looking for a candidate who has demonstrable experience in estates and tenant management, health and safety, and income generation from property. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
The candidate for the role should be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Estate Management Experience
2. Building relationships with tenants
3. Experience of tenant management
4. Experience of Health & Safety management
5. Generation of income from tenancy
6. Proven track record of managing financial resources
7. Experience of working within a culture of continuous improvement and of implementing and maintaining a range of quality assurance processes.
8. A good understanding of business and financial acumen.
