Support and Information Officer (Part-time, Norwich)

If so, we have a fabulous opportunity for you as a part-time Support & Information Officer in our Charitable Operations team across our centre in Norwich (on the ground of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and our City Centre on Dereham Road). In this role, you can put your listening and advising skills to use supporting someone with a cancer diagnosis or their loved ones.
About Big C
As a regional cancer charity, Big C is dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties whilst working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes.
There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. Big C seeks and implements new approaches and projects to ensure that no one is missing out on the opportunity to access our support.

About the role
Our Support and Information Officers enhance the wellbeing of Big C’s service users through the provision of cancer information and support; in person, by telephone and/or video calls, facilitating support groups, and referring users to other beneficial services, such as our physical activity program, health walks, counselling, and our wealth of holistic complementary therapy services.
The working hours are 28 hours per week to be worked flexibly over 4 days. The salary is £21,307.02 to £22,306.47 full-time equivalent (£17,045.62 to £17,845.18 actual).
