The Team The Global Commercial Excellence Lead will join the Commercial team in the UK but will have a global focus and accountability for commercial excellence and defining what good looks like. The Global Commercial Excellence Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the global sales force. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams both globally and locally to ensure alignment with organizational goals, optimizing sales processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in sales force effectiveness. The Lead role will actively work to improve processes through analyses and make recommendations around business execution to C-level executives, as well as track the performance of commercial operations in collaboration with the business analytics function. Role and Responsibilities Commercial Capabilities Strategy Development: Identification of capability gaps leading to development and implementation of capability roadmap and frameworks SFE Strategy Development: Design and implement global SFE strategy and interventions to improve sales performance, develop SFE standards and monitor execution, develop, deploy and govern the Global Sales Incentive Plan CRM Strategy Development: Design and implement a global CRM strategy, develop and implement CRM standards and monitor execution Performance Analysis: Develop KPIs, monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to senior management. Training & Development: Develop and deliver solutions to address needs identified and to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales force and commercial teams e.g. Targeting and segmentation, account management, selling skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Process Optimization: Streamline sales processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure consistency across regions in both SFE and CRM implementation sharing best practice Collaboration: Chair the network of local SFE and CRM leads. Work closely with global and local commercial leaders, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for SFE initiatives. Represent Global Commercial on the Sales Manager Forum Technology Utilization: Leverage CRM and other sales tools to track performance, manage customer relationships, and drive sales effectiveness. Identifying and support the roll out of new tools related as required Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, SFE initiatives, and outcomes to senior leadership. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s degree or Business degree equivalent Previous Sales Effectiveness / SFE or relatable experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
