Job Title: Junior Sports Coordinator – Stevenage FC Sports Hub Location: Stevenage FC Sports Hub, Stevenage Football Academy, Stevenage, SG2 8RH Reports to: Academy Director, Business Development Coordinator, Facility Manager Salary: TBC Hours: 30 hours per week Start Date: July 2025 Position Overview: Stevenage FC Sports Hub are looking for a Junior Sports Coordinator who is responsible for helping to organise, manage, and oversee a variety of activities and events aimed at engaging participants of all ages, especially children. This role often involves a mix of administrative tasks, direct interaction with participants and parents/guardians, and supporting senior staff. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports, working with young people, and looking to gain experience in a dynamic and active environment. The deadline for applications is Friday 25th April 2025 Key Responsibilities: Activity Planning and Organisation Assist in the scheduling of sports activities, games and events Help design and implement programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels Ensure that all necessary equipment and materials are available and properly set up before activities begin Participant Supervision and Engagement Supervise participants during activities to ensure their safety and enjoyment Motivate and encourage participation, making sure everyone is involved and having fun Address any issues or conflicts that arise during activities in a calm and effective manner Support Staff Work closely with managers and reception staff to execute planned activities Provide feedback and suggestions to improve activities based on participant response and experience Communication with management staff to make courses and sessions are fully staffed Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of attendance, participant progress and inventory Assist in promoting upcoming events and activities through flyers, social media and other communication channels Handle inquiries from participants or parents regarding schedules, programmes and policies Health and Safety Ensure that all activities comply with health and safety regulations Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate senior staff and follow the required protocols Customer Service Provide friendly and professional assistance to all visitors and participants Address any concerns or complaints from participants or their guardians in a timely and efficient manner About The Candidate Skill and Qualifications Communication Skills: strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both children and adults Organisational Skills: ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and keep track of schedules Leadership: confidence in leading groups and maintaining order during activities Problem-Solving: quick thinking and resourcefulness in dealing with unexpected situations First Aid Certification: basic knowledge of first aid is often required or highly beneficial Level 1 or 2 Coaching Badge: preferable but not required About The Club Stevenage FC Sports Hub The new branding will merge the Academy and community activities and go hand in hand with a £300,000 investment into new facilities which includes upgrades to the changing facilities, new 4G artificial Working hours can be flexible, often including weekends, evenings, and school holidays to accommodate participant schedules.
