Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an part-time Practice Nurse to work with us at our friendly two-site Surgery. We are looking for a candidate full of enthusiasm to join our nursing team currently consisting of one Practice Nurse, one advanced nurse practitioner, one HCA and two Phlebotomists. The role will be varied and cover all aspects of Practice Nursing. We are a Surgery dedicated to patient-centred care and making a positive difference in our community. Main duties of the job We are looking for a Practice Nurse who is friendly and enthusiastic to provide a high quality of care to our patients. The scope of the role will include chronic disease management, childhood immunizations, cytology, smears, vaccinations ,Asthma, Spirometry, COPD etc. This role will also include an oversight in Infection Control. A successful candidate would work well within the healthcare team, have goo IT knowledge and organizational skills ,including effective time mnagement. About us We are a friendly and committed family practice comprising of 2 GP partners, 3 Salaried GPs, an excellent nursing team of Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants, and a supportive and experienced administration team.We are also a training practice for foundadtion doctors and one Gp speciality trainee We are always delighted to welcome a new member to the team. We are a two-site practice in Middleton, Manchester with a patient list of just over 8000 patients. Our staff split their time between both sites, situated just a few minutes apart. We use EMIS Web as our clinical system, with Docman 10 used for document management and back office tools.
