What will I be doing?
Putting the customer at the heart of what we do and making their lives easier is key to this role. The Account Manager Corporate ASO UK&I will proactively manage and grow key IBT and MICE accounts for Hilton Worldwide with a focus on driving demand for our UK&I properties.
The Account Manager will be accountable for the performance of their account portfolio. They will create and communicate the account strategies to drive increased market share and demonstrate value to both internal and external customers. The Account Manager will develop account plans to drive market share into Hilton as well as identify and manage new business opportunities. The role will also have an element of Business Development and identifying new accounts outside of their account base.
The Account Manager will work in the HWS team with other Account Managers and Directors and will be responsible for driving both transient and group business into Hilton’s portfolio of hotels. The Account Manager will be responsible for a set number of accounts to penetrate across all segments of the business. The activities will include managing transient RFP's, driving Group business conversions, organising familiarisation trips, and presenting to customers on new hotel openings. Business Development could include negotiating transient and group agreements to drive share and attending relevant tradeshows representing Hilton Worldwide.
Responsibilities
Planning Activities (25%)
1. Develops transient and group strategy and direction for the account base in line with revenue strategies.
2. Total account management focus, quickly identifying which segments of the business have the most opportunity to drive share.
3. Identifies and evaluates new business opportunities within their current account base.
4. Executes strategic account development plans and supports communications of key messages internally and externally.
5. Manages customer RFP’s increasing the number of solicited and accepted hotels to drive market share.
6. Establishes procedures and processes in relation to managing the account portfolio to drive market share.
7. Accountable for the delivery of the strategy and activities of their account base.
8. Develops strong relationships with key hotels that receive business from the account portfolio understanding the hotels individually strategy.
9. Implements plans to ensure overall strategic direction of the account base and supports the company’s revenue strategies.
10. Manages the RFP process, with the assistance of RFP Support and Sales Support teams, ensuring the correct procedures are in place to support the client and drive business into Hilton.
11. Directs assignment of tasks ensuring optimum allocation of resources, utilising Hilton Direct and Project Desk.
12. Ensures relevant updates are sent both to internal and external stakeholders.
13. Monitors and reviews the impact of marketing initiatives on the account strategy.
14. Establishes and develops long term effective working relationships with key customers to drive business.
15. Networking with sub account handlers and global leads where relevant.
16. Strengthening relationships with key hotels and aligning strategies where relevant.
17. Maximizing all opportunities by developing relationships with third parties (MICE agents & TMC’s).
18. To build, implement and communicate the account strategies, delivering the expected targets.
19. To develop Account Plans that specify objectives time-scales and sales activities to support the defined account strategy and ensure maximum opportunity for account penetration.
20. Accurately identifies the level of influence and decision-making power of contacts in the customer organisation and uses these to secure business.
21. Attendance at Industry Conferences and events.
22. Accountable for communicating the strategy, account plans, and activities on a quarterly basis, along with relevant issues, opportunities, and successes.
Directing Activities (25%)
1. Executes organisational directives to Sales Support/Hilton Direct/Project Desk encourages achievement of goals through motivation, communication, and leadership.
2. Reviews Account Plans on regular basis, updating Salesforce records accordingly.
3. Implements account specific marketing initiatives to help drive the business.
4. Agrees marketing activity to underpin the account strategies and deliver increase market share.
Staffing Activities (5%)
1. Ensures regular 1:1’s are conducted with Sales Support/Hilton Direct/Project Desk as appropriate to accomplish goals.
Controlling Activities (20%)
1. Assesses actual performance versus the target to ensure success and takes corrective actions where necessary.
2. Ensures Account Development plan is followed and achieved providing feedback as necessary.
3. Ensures RFP processes are followed in line with the Hilton Best Practice and Salesforce guidelines.
4. Maintains Salesforce to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer account information is kept.
5. To ensure information relating to customer requirements, interests and marketing activities is kept up to date in Salesforce.
6. Work with the support team (RFP Support, Sales Support, Hilton Direct, Project Desk) to ensure tasks are carried out as directed by the customer.
7. To provide accurate management reports to review account performance and communicate future plans.
8. Reviews customer base to determine new opportunities for account penetration.
Supportive Functions
1. Attendance at sales workshops.
2. Involvement in various projects to support the wider HWS team’s strategies.
3. Additional supportive functions as appropriate.
4. Support Colleagues to with face to face appointments with our clients.
5. Plan and attend the Familiarisation Trips that are detailed in the account development plans to support driving market share.

Required Qualifications
1. To hold a University degree or experience in lieu thereof.
2. Significant work experience in customer facing, revenue generating roles.
3. Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
4. Fluency in spoken and written English.
5. Experience of working with business travel accounts.
6. Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
7. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
8. Ability to work well under pressure.
