Opportunity for a Senior Finance Leader
Altus Partners is partnering with a Private Equity backed business to appoint a Group Financial Controller. This role offers the chance to join a dynamic finance senior leadership team and contribute to the company's ambitious growth plans.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial controls, including month-end reporting, year-end accounting, audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control. Additionally, this position will involve leading and developing a finance team, executing regular training, upskilling initiatives, and personal development plans.
This 'hands-on' finance leader will have a strong track record of developing teams and leading finance transformation projects. Key responsibilities include:
* Reporting directly into the CFO and taking full responsibility for the company's financial controls.
* Leading the finance team, consisting of 4 direct and 20 indirect reports, and executing regular training and upskilling initiatives.
* Ongoing development and improvement of internal controls and processes, including documenting implemented efficiencies.
* Proactive utilization of the ERP system to further streamline internal reporting processes and lead the eventual implementation of an upgraded version.
* M&A due diligence on potential acquisitions and effectively integrating new entities into the business.
* Working closely with the FP&A team and operational leadership to achieve business goals.
* A commercial approach to controllership, adding strategic input to the business.
* Deputising for the CFO when required.
Requirements for this role include:
* Qualified Accountant with experience as a Financial Controller in a multi-site environment.
* Proven ability to develop teams and lead finance transformation initiatives.
* Private Equity exposure is desirable but not essential.
* Hybrid working is available, with a requirement to be on-site in Redhill 3 days per week.
We estimate that the salary for this position will be around £120,000-£150,000 depending on experience, plus benefits. Altus Partners values its employees and provides a supportive work environment.
