The Role
As a Construction Health and Safety Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be instrumental in ensuring strategic goals and objectives outlined in the health & safety business plan are implemented to the highest of standard.
Day-to-day, you'll provide technical advice and guidance to senior project managers and operational teams around managing and monitoring health & safety during construction / CDM projects.
* Support operational teams through the design phase by reviewing drawings and risk assessments
* Ensure all pre-condition surveys are completed as required
* Support the review and processing of health & safety related documentation
* Identify all non-compliance issues and report through appropriate means
* Undertake reviews of project performance
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite at our Faslane site near Helensburgh, and 2 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Experience required of the Construction Health and Safety Specialist
* Robust knowledge of health and safety legislation
* Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015
* Knowledge of general construction techniques and principles
Qualifications for the Construction Health and Safety Specialist
* Degree or equivalent qualified in relevant subject
* IOSH certified preferred

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (SC) security clearance for this role.
