Fortis are working with a great civil engineering consultancy based in Bristol to recruit a civil engineer to join their team. The company works on highways, transport planning, infrastructure, and flood risk management projects for their clients. Many of these are residential projects but not all.
The successful engineer will have experience in design delivery, assisting in assessing sites for development, interpreting and analysing data, and using software such as AutoCAD, PDS, Site 3D, MicroDrainage, and InfoDrainage. You will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
This civil engineer position is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office, but this may be flexible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities / Requirements
1. Appreciation of design delivery, including the multidisciplinary aspects of design.
2. Assisting in the assessment and appraisal of sites for their suitability for development.
3. Use of appropriate industry software to design and detail infrastructure and other civil engineering requirements on residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
4. Assisting the project team including scoping, financial, programme, and resource management.
5. Preparing planning and design deliverable packages for professional submission, including drawings, reports, and analyses.
