We are currently advertising for a full-time Housing Officer on our Chrysalis service. Please note this role occasionally includes on-call duties in addition to the core hours.
Humbercare’s Chrysalis Housing provides accommodation and a low level of support.
The main responsibilities include:
To provide advice and support to all customers house within Chrysalis’s Housing Property Portfolio
To engage with customers on a weekly basis to support individuals to secure, maintain and achieve independent living, and to design services that work for them and utilising resources within the local area to make a real, quality difference to peoples' lives
To ensure Chrysalis Housing properties are well presented and maintained by both our customers and Humbercare (in conjunction with the maintenance department)
Requirements:
A sound understanding of the social housing environment including emerging government policy, welfare benefits and housing entitlements
Experience of working in a social housing or similar environment along with knowledge of local statutory and voluntary agencies.
Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
Current full driving licence and access to transport is desired but not essential
