SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for a driven, career motivated, and customer service oriented individual to join our Customer Counter team located in Cambridge, ON.

DUTIES:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role’s focus is to generate new and repeat sales by providing customer service excellence at the counter and presenting a professional and attentive image to customers and suppliers. The role will also provide back-up to the warehouse as required.
* Serves customers by phone, email, text messaging or in-person ensuring the customer’s order is entered accurately into the system.
* Accurate and efficient picking of customer orders for pick up at the counter and for delivery when appropriate.
* Answer pricing enquiries and stock checks. Provide technical information and product specifications.
* Coordinate delivery arrangements with the customer and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
* Create and maintain product displays that engage customers and help stimulate sales activity, keeping merchandise and counter areas clean and professional.
* Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
* Communicate promotional sale items as well as discounted slow moving and obsolete inventory.
* Proactive contact with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments.
* Perform various branch administration; billing; vendor returns, etc.
* Provide backup assistance to warehouse through the preparation and packing of orders, assisting in the receiving of material, and helping load/unload trucks as required.
* Assists in annual physical inventory counts.
WHAT YOU OFFER:
* 2-3 years related technical/sales experience in the Plumbing or HVAC industry, ideally within a wholesale distribution environment.
* Post-secondary education in Plumbing or HVAC, or equivalent experience an asset.
* Strong background in HVAC preferred.
* Ability to lift 30lbs comfortably.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Positive attitude and customer service oriented with a sense of urgency.
* Computer literate; Basic MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
