Biggin Hill Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, supportive and enthusiastic Achievement Support Assistant in EYFS to work as part of our dedicated team. This post is fixed-term until 18th July 2025. Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will:
Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.Have a full and relevant qualification to work within an Early Years setting per the latest guidance from the Department for Education.Further information regarding the post can be found in the job description and person specification.Salary & Contract Details:Hours: 35 hours per week, fixed term until 18th July (190 days).Grade: 4, spinal column points 5 - 7
