This full-time role is ideal for someone confident in leading lessons, supporting students, and working closely with teachers to enhance learning experiences. Your Role as an HLTA As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students. You will lead small group sessions, cover lessons when required, and assist in planning and delivering engaging activities. Your role will involve working with students across different year groups, providing targeted support, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver lessons and cover classes in the absence of the teacher. Support teachers in planning and preparing learning activities. Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support. Assist in assessing pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Create a positive and engaging learning environment. Support children with special educational needs (SEN) where required. Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a structured learning setting. What We’re Looking For Experience as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA, or similar role in a school setting. A HLTA qualification or relevant experience leading lessons. Strong communication and classroom management skills. A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning. The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
