1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Firswood (M16)
A secondary SEMH/SEN provision based in the Trafford area are currently seeking a committed Behavioural Support Assistant to begin as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be working closely with Secondary-aged pupils, working one-to-one with a 14-year-old pupil with SEN.
The incoming TA will be working within a class of seven pupils, supporting a 14-year-old boy with complex needs. This pupil struggles to communicate his needs, and can become unpredictable and disruptive when anxious. Therefore, the school need someone to build a positive and trusting relationship with said student, employing positive behaviour management techniques. Team Teach training would be beneficial for this role.
This role will begin as soon as possible, once the successful candidate has registered with Teaching Personnel. The incoming Support Assistant will be expected to provide a holistic approach to pupil behaviour, encouraging engagement and progress. They will be managing disruptions in line with the school’s behaviour policies. SLT of this school are seeking an individual with experience managing complex needs and challenging behaviour.
* Secondary SEMH/SEN school in Trafford (M16), easily accessible by bus, tram or car.
* £83.85+ per day through PAYE (no umbrella company or agency fees) paid weekly.
* Full-time role Monday-Friday paid on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel until the end of the academic year. 8:30am-4:15pm.
* Opportunity for a permanent school contract following a successful trial period.
