Role
The Children and Young People’s Centre for Justice (CYCJ) works towards ensuring that Scotland’s approach to children and young people in conflict with the law is rights-respecting; contributing to better outcomes for our children, young people and communities. We produce robust ground-breaking work by bringing together children and young people’s contributions, research evidence, practice wisdom and system know-how to operate as a leader for child and youth justice thinking in Scotland and beyond.
Our focus for 2020-2025 is on supporting Scotland to comply with its international commitments for children and young people in conflict with the law in relation to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), find our strategy on our website.
We work across four workstreams: Practice Development, Policy, Research, and Participation.
CYCJ is primarily funded by the Scottish Government and is based within the University of Strathclyde, in the School of Social Work and Social Policy. Our Executive Governance Group has oversight of CYCJ and our strategic direction, and consists of representatives from across policy, practice, research and lived experience. This post has funding to March 2026 with indicative funding for future years.
This is a great opportunity for a Project & Exhibition Manager to join the University’s Museum & Art Gallery.
The Projects & Exhibitions Manager is a key role in delivering The Hunterian’s ambition to be a more meaningful place for more diverse audiences. You will coordinate the development of, and project manage the development and delivery of, The Hunterian’s programme of temporary exhibitions and will support the delivery of the NLHF-funded ‘Unlocking the Potential of The Hunterian’ project.
You will be responsible for effectively managing a portfolio of projects, including a range of exhibitions and elements of the NLHF funded development project. This includes effective planning, stakeholder management, resource management and effective and extensive communication throughout the Hunterian team.
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure the effective operation and upkeep of office facilities and equipment.
* Develop and revise HR policies in accordance with legislation, providing clear communication to staff.
* Offer HR guidance to managers and colleagues to ensure compliance.
* Manage all activities related to the employee lifecycle, including planning, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
* Oversee DBS and PVG requests.
* Coordinate Learning & Development initiatives and train managers on HR topics.
* Promote employee wellbeing through wellness initiatives and oversee occupational health issues.
* Use research and data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
* Support the Senior Leadership Team with change projects and consultations.
* Create and maintain various HR documentation, including reports and guides.
Additional information:
Proficiency in English communication is required, as is evidence of your eligibility to work in the UK.
You will need to be available to work from our registered national office a minimum of three full days each week, situated at Business First, Burnbrae Road, Paisley PA1 2FB. For the rest of your working week, you will have the option to work from home. Additionally, occasional travel to various locations in Scotland may be necessary for departmental and organisation-wide meetings.

Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two highly motivated GBV Charter Officers (1 x full time post, 1 x part time post) to join our dynamic and friendly team based in Glasgow. The GBV Charter Officers will play a key role in the delivery of the GBV Charter in universities and colleges across Scotland. Working with our Charter team, you will support roll-out and implementation of the Charter. Supporting charter universities and colleges in improving their policies, practices and procedures in relation to GBV prevention, intervention and support, helping them to meet each of the 42 minimum standards in the Charter.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, activities, timelines in alignment with the Charter minimum standards.
* Provide regular updates and guidance for charter institutions, the team and the charity’s CEO. Reports should highlight achievements, challenges and suggested improvements.
* Maintain system to overview project dates/deadlines
* Progress report writing
* Plan and schedule (and where required attend) Charter surgeries, meetings, assessment meetings, and other Charter related events
* Liaise with colleges and universities and support Charter leads
* Further develop and enhance the ‘library of tools’ that supports Charter Institutions, ensuring a diverse set of resources is available to help them achieve Charter minimum standards
* Create, review and update Charter related guidance documents.
* Represent the organisation in relevant conferences and meetings.
