We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and wonderful team at Bamford Academy, part of Altus Education Partnership.
About the role
To provide high-quality support for pupils with complex SEND needs, ensuring that the aims of the SEND Hub are met. This includes delivering tailored interventions, supporting regulation, and fostering inclusion within the school environment. The role is pivotal to the success of the SEND Hub in enhancing outcomes for high-needs pupils by addressing their academic, social and emotional needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions based on EHCP/IEP outcomes and professional recommendations.
2. Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials and approaches as needed.
3. Participate in lunchtime supervision of pupils as required.
4. Provide immediate support for pupils experiencing dysregulation, including guiding them to the Hub’s regulation pods.
5. Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENDCo, Altus SEND Director and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil support.
6. Maintain the SEND Hub as an organised, welcoming and resource-rich environment.
7. Monitor and document pupils’ progress, behaviours and responses to interventions.
8. Keep accurate and confidential records aligned with school policies and procedures.
9. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for pupils with high needs, where they can access tailored support.
10. Develop pupils’ ability to self-regulate, build resilience and engage positively in learning.
