In-House Solicitor, 0-2 Years PQE Salary up to £55k
As an In-House Solicitor, you will be a key player in our legal team, providing comprehensive legal support across various functions, including corporate risk, commercial marketing, and procurement.
Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, this is an exciting opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to take their first step in-house and work in a fast-paced environment where you will gain exposure to a wide range of legal matters and contribute to our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review, negotiate and approve a variety of contracts with third party suppliers ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and alignment with Marston’s risk profile.
* Manage disputes efficiently and effectively, providing practical and commercially sound advice to the business and managing the relationship with external counsel where necessary.
* Protect our intellectual property assets and support the commercial marketing team with a programme of brand marketing that aligns to our key strategic aims, including the preparation of terms and conditions for competitions and promotions.
* Support Marston’s to navigate emerging legislation and ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Qualified solicitor with up to 2 years PQE.
* Broad corporate and commercial law experience.
* Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
* Strong understanding of intellectual property law.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management, being flexible, organised and prioritising work.
* Confidence to challenge, knowing how and when to say no but always offering an alternative option.

* Engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams across the business to support our strategic initiatives and drive business growth.
* Contribute to the development of a market-leading legal services team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
