New Year, New Career As a Senior Support Worker you will play a crucial role in leading a busy service in one of a cluster of 3 houses on one site, supporting 5 adults with additional needs. You will lead the team in meeting compliance and ensuring the continued health and happiness of all individuals supported to live gloriously ordinary lives. We are a small cluster of three individual residential care homes providing the best support to six people who have a learning disability. They are aged between 24-56. Your role will be to support these fabulous individuals to achieve their goals to live as independently as possible, to maintain their family relationships and to explore new exciting opportunities. Are you fit and active? Could you keep up with a vibrant young man who loves to play football, trampoline and walk across fields all for hours at a time. Could you be the person who greets him in the morning and supports him to prepare for his day whilst listening to his favourite music, which quite often is 90's. Let's meet Sarah She likes to look fashionably coordinated with attention to detail. Someone with nail painting and hair accessorising skills will definitely be her bestie. She is autistic and requires patience, understanding and excellent communication skills from her staff. Sarah can't walk far, so a driving licence is essential for her to experience a full range of activities outside of her home. You will be joining an established team who support 4 other individuals. Excellent training is provided and the use of robust PBS plans help to maintain a harmonious home. About you You'll be someone who can see the bigger picture and have the visionary skill to be able to help develop the service further. Supervisory experience is desirable but not essential. You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach. Attention to detail, and good Microsoft Word and Excel skills would also be beneficial.
