About the role
As a key figure within the eCommerce team, the Digital Merchandising Manager will be responsible for the effective management, coordination, and implementation of the Online Services strategy on halfords.com and National.co.uk sites, ensuring right first-time implementation of optimised range and customer journeys to deliver against commercial and customer targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Management and implementation of the detailed Merchandising plan and Optimisation plan to maximise customer engagement and conversion of Garage Services journeys.
2. Lead and manage the implementation of range reviews on SMR maximising the sales and profit potential, aligned to commercial priorities.
3. Form a strong working relationship with key stakeholders within digital, trading, marketing and Ops ensuring that Merchandising and key stakeholder teams work seamlessly together to deliver agreed plans.
4. Ensure that the right plan of content execution is in place to drive conversion for new range, with a focus on the customer journey and user experience.
5. Coach and lead the team to consider the customer in all decisions made.
6. Take an active role in driving the team and functional engagement action plan.
7. Work closely with Finance, CRO, Trading and Optimisation teams.
Skills & Experience
1. Experience in Ecommerce / Digital Merchandising at managerial level.
2. Experience in defining and delivering initiatives to improve conversion.
3. Deep understanding and experience of customer journeys.
4. Strong business acumen and good level of commercial awareness.
5. Very good stakeholder management and communication skills.
6. Able to influence teams and senior management alike.
7. Act quickly and decisively using good judgement in making decisions and performing actions.
8. Good analytical skills, awareness of key technologies and tools used for Data analysis.
9. Good at building business relationships internally and externally with partners and suppliers.
10. Ideally had some exposure to Offline Marketing.
