Job Description 2 nd Line Engineer Initial 3-month Contract Role – Inside IR35 On-site in Edinburgh Office £200 p/day An opportunity has become available to join one of the world’s leading technology organisations as a 2 nd Line Engineer who will provide support for Windows 11 end-user devices. Responsibilities: Act as the central point of contact for customers requiring technical support for Windows 11 devices. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and configuration issues. Deliver outstanding customer service and provide support as and when required. Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and updates using the ticketing system. Stay current with Windows 11 updates, best practices, and new features to deliver effective support. Please note, the below requirements are essential and candidates without this will not be considered: Previous experience providing 2 nd /3 rd line support with proven experience supporting Windows 11 in a service desk environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting end-user device issues, including hardware, drivers, networking, and software. Familiarity with ITIL processes and service desk tools. Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Client, CompTIA A) is desirable, but not essential. Experience with remote desktop tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell) to automate tasks.
