Primary SEND Teaching Assistants Job Type: Supply (Short-term/Long-term, potential for permanent) Location: Maidstone and Medway areas, covering all of Kent Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, School Hours Salary: Competitive rates We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants who specialise in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These opportunities are available across a variety of schools in the Maidstone and Medway areas, with the potential to cover all of Kent. Our roles offer both short-term and long-term supply, with the possibility of transitioning to permanent positions for the right candidates. Day-to-day of the role: Support pupils with special needs such as autism, ADHD, complex needs, and sensory impairments (hearing and visual). Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities and lessons planned by the teacher. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all pupils. Facilitate communication between pupils and staff. Monitor and support the progress and well-being of pupils. Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a SEND setting. Familiarity with the challenges and strategies related to supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, complex needs, and sensory impairments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
