As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role providing 1:1 support for a pupil who faces barriers to learning due to behavioural challenges. Your role will involve: Managing behaviour and developing positive coping strategies. Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Acting as a mentor and positive role model to build confidence and self-esteem. Liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide consistent and targeted support. We are seeking an individual who is: Patient, empathetic, and committed to the wellbeing of pupils. Skilled in building positive relationships with children. Resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations. Experienced in working with children with behavioural needs, SEN, or mental health challenges.Desirable: Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
