A leading US firm is looking for a Conflicts Attorney to join their team.
This role sits within a high-growth team with significant scope for career development, with the requirement to be in the office two days per week.
Key Responsibilities of for the Conflicts Attorney role:
* Review complex conflict reports to identify and address potential legal and business conflicts.
* Provide detailed analysis and collaborate with partners to resolve identified conflicts.
* Draft and procure conflict waivers, facilitating partner communications and obtaining necessary approvals.
* Prepare and implement ethical walls, including drafting screening memoranda for sensitive matters and lateral hires.
* Stay updated on ethical rules, opinions, and case law related to conflicts of interest.
* Provide guidance to conflicts analysts on best practices, corporate research, and report preparation.
* Analyse lateral hire matter lists and resolve conflicts through collaboration with involved parties.
* Review and validate new business intake data, forms, and engagement terms.
* Assess conflict questionnaires from attorney and staff candidates, ensuring necessary clarifications.
Qualifications:
* Qualified attorney with extensive conflicts attorney experience, preferably in an international law firm setting.
* Proficiency in ethical and risk management rules..
* Familiarity with Intapp Open Conflicts System and Intapp Walls is advantageous.
