We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading name in design and engineering services for highly regulated industries including nuclear and defence. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week and occasional site visits, based in Warrington.
The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions across air, land, and sea defence projects, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and cutting-edge nuclear facilities. You'll lead or collaborate with a team of talented engineers and designers, working on projects at every stage of development in some of the most technically challenging environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing engineering deliverables for multi-disciplinary projects.
Preparing technical specifications, functional designs, and contract documents.
Performing design calculations and evaluations for complex systems.
Collaborating with Safety Case and System Engineering teams.
Reviewing and authoring technical deliverables to a high standard.
What We're Looking For:
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, with expertise in LV distribution systems, control, and protection systems.
Experience in cable sizing (AMTECH) and electrical building services.
A background in a regulated industry such as maritime, nuclear, or defence is advantageous.
Security clearance eligibility (sole UK nationals only).
Flexibility for occasional travel (expenses covered).
Desirable Skills:
HV distribution and cable sizing (ETAP).
AutoCAD/Revit software experience.
