Job Description
Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.
Working 37 hours per week, you will be working as part of Leisure & Culture Dundee Lifeguard team, the working hours will include evenings and weekend working. You will be required to work At Leisure & Culture Dundee Swim Centres.
Requirements
You must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
Responsibilities
You will have a day-to-day responsibility for effectively addressing operational issues, health & safety matters and customer-focused facilities, services & activities relating to Lifeguard roles & duties and pool environment at Olympia Leisure Centre, Lochee Swimming Pool and LACD Community Pools
The Individual
You must have excellent communication skills to work within a team and have the ability to organise pool sessions and your time effectively while following Health and Safety guidelines, Safe Systems of Work and complete Daily Checklists as part of your duties.
You will be approachable, reliable and have the ability to motivate others.
You will be assigned a shift pattern that requires shift work and weekend working and must attend programmed staff training sessions.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to work being offered by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
