Martek Marine specialises in providing sustainable solutions to the maritime industry to ensure ship safety, efficiency and crew well-being!
Typical day
This role will potentially oversee the regions of Eastern Europe, Americas and the Middle East, but this is still being reviewed.
Regardless of territory, a typical day in this role could look a bit like:
* Checking emails and CRM updates to check if you need to make any changes to your planned day
* Running through a product demo on Teams with a prospect
* Hitting the phones during the company wide ‘Power Hours’
* Working with the Sales Support team to advise them on what parameters to include in your next prospect list
* Catching up with the wider sales team for training or a sales meeting
* Advising Marketing on your next market trip so they can support with some marketing collateral
* Planning your next in market trip
* Closing the sale on a fleet deal that you proposed last week for Drinksafe
What is non-negotiable is the following and if you can tick these off, then it's likely that this role will be a perfect fit:
* Proven experience and results generated in a sales / business development environment
* Proven experience and an enjoyment for negotiating, closing deals and handling objections
* A resilience when it comes to prospecting, engaging in it as opposed to putting it to the end of your to-do list!

Markets to be confirmed – but likely to be Eastern Europe, Americas and the Middle East
Out in market – 6-10 times a year, on average once every 5-6 weeks
Hybrid – home working if you would like, Monday and Friday, Tues-Thurs in the office. If you would like to be in the office 5 days a week, that’s fine!
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
