Job Description
Our client are a global leader within essential oils and ingredients selling into the flavors, fragrances and cosmetics industries on a global basis. Due to the continued development and expansion of the business they are looking to add an additional Quality Control Analyst to be based out of their UK HQ and Production facility.
Overview
• Ensuring that the working area in the laboratory is maintained in a clean and orderly
condition and that any hazard or potential hazard is reported to the Quality Control
Manager
• Recording, labelling, sampling, and performing Physicals, GC/MS and FAME testing of essentials oils when necessary.
• Carrying out chemical and physical analysis, and organoleptic evaluation of essential oils, blending, and carrier oils
• Participation in the organoleptic evaluation of essential oil matches
• Analysis of products by GC/FID, GC/MS and HPLC as required.
• Performing data analysis, interpretation and delivering reports
• Issuing/updating accurate Certificate of Analysis of raw materials and finished products.
• Issuing/updating Technical Data Sheet for all products/
• Organizing the samples and storage according to the production date
• Communicating results to and liaise with other departments such as production, development and purchasing as necessary.
• Performing and assessing the routine instrument validations to ensure systems are fit for use including upkeep of the routine instrument validation logs
• Maintaining accurate analysis records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices
• Assisting in the execution to implement Quality Management System ISO 9001 within the analytical Lab
• Working alongside QA manager to prepare assurance quality documents including
• Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), Standard Testing Procedures (STPs), and Safety Procedures related to the QC
• Creating and assessing company Regulatory Documents and assessing supplier Regulatory Documents.
Preferred Skills
• GC method development skills. Experience with Shimadzu software preferrable but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office particularly Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Good organizational skills, problem solving, team player, good communication skills
