QTS Science Teacher for Alternative Provision School - Hatfield, Hertfordshire - Salary on MPS/UPS - Long term to permanent post - September 2024
Salary: Dependent on experience, but will meet the teacher's main pay scale in the fringe area

We are seeking a talented and passionate Science Teacher to join our Alternative Provision School in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Our school provides individual education plans and bespoke learning for 60 pupils, with a maximum class size of 6. Science is taught up to GCSE level, but many of the students following vocational qualifications.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student. You will work closely with our team of dedicated educators to ensure that our students are provided with the best possible education.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons up to GCSE level
2. Create and maintain individual education plans for each student
3. Provide regular feedback to students and their parents/guardians
4. Monitor and track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
5. Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
6. A degree in a relevant scientific field
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but teaching experience considered
8. Experience teaching science up to GCSE level
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Passion for working with students who require individual education plans
