Hybrid role (0.5 FTE as Programme Leader and 0.5 FTE as Lecturer)

Salary (Programme Leader): £46,014 – £47,598 pro rata (0.5 FTE)

The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Programme Leader to join the 16-18 ESOL team at Stretford to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
The Role (Programme Leader)
We are seeking an enthusiastic Programme Leader for the 16-18 ESOL team:
1. To coordinate and manage a designated number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Studies.
2. To undertake an agreed teaching commitment across a range of programmes.
3. Effectively manage financial and physical resources across the areas of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outcomes for learners across programmes responsible for including but not limited to attendance, retention, progress, achievement, destinations and student feedback.
2. Coordination and quality of teaching activity across the programme area of responsibility.
3. Recruitment of learner numbers across the programme area of responsibility.
4. Line managing staff responsible for delivery and support (e.g. technicians) of programmes responsible for.
5. To maximise the performance of the team by communicating and clarifying expectations, setting objectives, identifying performance indicators and providing feedback.
6. Liaise with the Head of Studies as part of the business planning and review process to establish appropriate targets for recruitment and outcomes for learners for all relevant programmes.
The Role (Lecturer)
* Delivery to 16–19-year-olds.
* Teaching and Assessing ESOL and Maths from pre-entry to level 1.
* Using a range of traditional delivery methods alongside strong digital skills which you would pass on to learners.
* Involvement in the whole assessment process from Initial Assessment to the IQA Process.
The experience, ability and flexibility to work with Adult learners, deliver the full range of ESOL from Pre-Entry up to Level 1 are desirable.
