Our team of talented bedmakers are based out of our Bedquarters in Bognor Regis (where you’ll find our Warehouse and Customer Happiness Teams) and everyone else can be found in our offices just south of Chichester.
Job Summary
Our Assistant Merchandiser will work within the Commercial (Merchandising) Team to work with the Merchandise Admin Assistant to efficiently manage stock inventory, minimising instances of stockouts and maximising operational efficiency. They will play a supportive role to the Senior Merchandiser with sales analysis to achieve business KPIs. You will report directly to the Senior Merchandiser.
Job Responsibilities
* Supporting the Senior Merchandiser to help produce the department product strategy.
* Review, propose and cost markdown and promotional activity, calculating the effect on sales, margin and sell-through.
* Maintaining positive, professional relationships with our suppliers, operations team and shipping partners to maximise performance.
* Approaching tasks with a can-do attitude, finding solutions to stock shortages and delivery delays to drive KPIs.
* Ensuring accurate and timely communication of delivery/shipment issues to the business and analysing the potential impact of any issues or delays.
* Maintaining updated reporting & product information across all platforms (WSSI, POs, excel reports etc).
* Supporting the Senior Merchandiser with trading performance analysis including weekly & monthly trade meetings.
* Applying a social and environmental lens to everything that you do and supporting our goal to be the most responsibly sourced, BCorp certified, bed linen brand.
About the Candidate
You will have:
* Either a degree or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
* 2 years+ experience in either merchandising or supply chain with fashion or home retail.
* You must be analytical, organised, proactive and forward thinking with exceptional time-management.
* You must have good commercial awareness with strong decision-making skills.
* Excel experience and understanding is essential.
This is a full-time hybrid position. You will be based in Chichester 3 days per week with the flexibility to work from home the remaining part of the week once you have passed your probationary period.
The role attracts a starting salary of £28k - £30k.
