Title: Senior Technical Safety Engineer

We are seeking passionate and innovative Senior Technical Safety Engineers to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Safety Engineer, you will work as part of a project team, applying your engineering knowledge to assess and improve safety measures. You will be working on energy security and energy transition projects including plastics recycling, LNG, Ammonia, Hydrogen production, Refineries, and oil/gas processing plants.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* As part of a project team, perform all conventional aspects of Technical Safety scope area. This may include:
o Consequence modelling using standard software packages (PHAST, Flaresim etc).
o Safety Critical Elements and Performance Standards.
o Develop safety specifications.
o Design of safety systems (firewater, blast protection etc.).
o Management of safety packages.
o Liaison with 3rd parties undertaking safety studies, e.g. QRA.
o Safety representation in HAZID and HAZOP reviews.
* With additional experience within one or more areas of Technical Safety, assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments.
* Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
What you will need:
* Good understanding of consequence modelling packages with the ability to complete studies independently.
* Able to check and confirm completeness of deliverables including safety layouts and reports.
* BEng or equivalent in science or engineering (typically Chemical Engineering).
* Masters degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Process Safety preferred).
* Membership of an accredited Institution, e.g. IChemE.
