Main duties of the job
1. Prepare, store and use reagents and consumables in a manner suitable for patient investigations.
2. Perform manual laboratory procedures such as precision pipetting, reagent preparation, and complex analytical procedures.
3. Undertake technical validation of complex results from laboratory investigations to ensure accuracy and precision as specified by laboratory protocols.
4. Calibrate, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot expensive and complex hardware and software.

Experience
Essential
* Practised as a Registered Biomedical Scientist.
* Aware of or experience using Helena SAS-3 and Abbott Architect.
Qualifications
Essential
* HCPC registration.
* Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent.
