A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent office based Sales Advisor with a successful family run construction business who are one of the market leaders in their specialist field. Situated by junction 5 off the M3 so must have own vehicle. Full and comprehensive training will be given. 9am-5pm, 40 hours per week. 26k salary and genuine scope for career progression within the business.
Sales Advisor Summary of Role:
You will be dealing with trade sales enquiries together with other associated tasks, as defined within the main responsibilities of the job description by telephone & e-mail.
Sales Advisor Main Responsibilities:
1. Receive and process trade sales enquiries and quotations.
2. Receive and process sales orders using Sage software, including processing payment where necessary for our trade customers.
3. Account management for our trade and distributor customers.
4. Maintain and update CRM database.
5. Develop product knowledge to a level where you can deliver, in an authoritative and professional manner, the highest level of technical support to the customers.
6. Capture and record relevant sales and technical data as required.
7. Provide an exceptional level of customer service at all times.
8. Build relationships with other departments, such as accounts and warehouse.
9. Work with the Sales Office Manager and Directors to suggest and implement new procedures to continually improve customer satisfaction and company sales performance.
10. Aid Sales Office Manager and Directors with sales projects along with back-office tasks.
Sales Advisor Other Responsibilities:
1. Ensure rapid and accurate communication with other personnel/departments as required.
2. Continually improve the business and competitor knowledge through ongoing training.
3. Carry out other administrative functions with the group of companies as determined and appointed by the Sales Office Manager and Directors.
4. Exercise diplomacy at all times when dealing with customers and provide a high level of customer service in line with company ethos.
5. Provide a flexible and enthusiastic approach to customer service in order to maintain and promote good relations with all existing and new customers.
Experience and Skills:
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
* Initiative and good organisational skills.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Sage and ACT or similar database would be desirable but not essential.
* Conscientious approach to work.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
Personal Attributes:
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tasks.
