Role: Due to growing demand from clients, the Managing Director has the vision to integrate a Building Services Project Engineer into the business, to deliver bespoke services designs for their client sites, which includes Museums, Schools, Libraries and a range of further challenges. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to take briefs from clients, produce calculated Mechanical and Electrical engineering drawings and details, specify full suites of equipment, and then guide contractors and clients through handover. Responsibilities: As a Building Services Engineer you will: Work with the Guildford Director (2 days) and client site in Duxford (2 days) on a weekly basis, reporting on progress. Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against the client's briefs. Project manage M&E site works from commencement to completion. Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time, and on budget. Undertake feasibility studies as required. Meet with the client to establish a project brief and budget costs for client consideration. Monitor site works against specification requirements and agree on the contractor's final accounts. Carry out inspections of existing installations and prepare condition reports. Check and prepare information for fee invoicing each month. Manage the day-to-day workload of yourself. Advise director on resources required. Requirements: Degree qualification or equivalent experience. Chartered Membership of the IET, IMechE, or CIBSE, ideally. Significant post-qualification experience in the design and specification of both Mechanical and Electrical building services, which may include: Energy distribution. Energy supply. Escalators and lifts. Fire safety. HVAC. IT Lighting. Lightning protection. Refrigeration. Security and alarm systems. Interested?
