About the Role
The Art & Design department is currently looking to recruit a technician to join a well-established team and support a range of Art and Design pathways such as graphic design, fine art, fashion & textiles, 3D design, illustration, animation, and photography.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Assisting students and teaching staff in the preparation of materials and equipment
* Maintaining a safe working environment
* Providing both practical and digital technical advice to students at an individual and small group level
* Ordering and maintaining stock levels for materials and equipment
* Liaising with other art technicians in the use of shared resources.
Requirements
You will need:
* Level 2 qualification in the relevant subject area or relevant industry experience
* Technical qualification in the relevant subject area
* Experience of following/applying Health & Safety Procedures
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint
* Maintaining relevant equipment
* Competency in using the relevant tools
