Our client is seeking an ambitious and driven Management Accountant to join their finance team in Northamptonshire. Key Responsibilities: Monthly Management Accounts: Complete monthly management accounts Prepare prepayments/accruals and inventory journals. Ledger Control & Reporting: Oversee AP/AR ledger control and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Reconciliations: Reconcile all balance sheet items regularly to maintain accurate financial records. Fixed Asset Register: Maintain and update the fixed asset register to ensure all assets are correctly accounted for. KPI Reporting: Complete and review monthly KPIs to provide insightful financial performance data. VAT Submission: Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of monthly VAT returns. Sales Data & Reports: Complete monthly sales data, dashboard reports, and low margin sales reports to track performance and profitability. Inventory & Bespoke Reports: Prepare and manage inventory reports, alongside other bespoke financial reports tailored to the business. Cashflow Management: Conduct daily cashflow reconciliations and ensure daily cashflow reports are updated and accurate. Invoice Discounting & Audit Support: Handle invoice discounting queries and provide audit support, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Financial Audit Assistance: Support the FD in assisting with the financial audit process, including tax-related matters. ERP System Development: Streamline processes within CRM systems Team Development: Manage and develop the apprentice trainee accountant, providing mentorship and support. Collaborate on Projects: Work closely with the Overseas Financial Controller on project-related financial matters. Skills & Experience: Hands-On Experience: Proven experience in a similar management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or global business environment. Leadership Skills: Experience managing and developing junior finance staff is essential. Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT submissions, and budgeting processes. Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to analyse financial data and provide insights that drive business decisions. Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and international teams.
