Position: Electrical Field Service Engineer
Package: Up to £55k
Type: Permanent
Our client is a Yorkshire-based manufacturer of fan and smoke extraction systems, ranging from car park ventilation systems to smoke control and tunnel ventilation.
With a nationwide reputation, they have a service division that performs PPM around the UK on their own systems as well as their competitors' systems.
Due to continued growth and expansion, they require an electrical field service engineer to join their team.
The Role
As the electrical field service engineer, you will be required to travel around the UK, usually departing from their Yorkshire base in Shelf on a Monday morning to visit customers throughout the UK. This travel will be planned but may entail some emergency servicing. You will service to a high regulatory standard, gained through your qualifications and extensive in-house training. Your knowledge will include, but not be limited to:
* Electrical qualifications, including 18th edition.
* A professional manner, as the role will involve client visits.
* Understanding of PLCs - IDEC, Allen Bradley.
* Knowledge of motor control circuits and inverters.
* Understanding of control panels and schematics.
When out in the field, you will:
* Ensure equipment works to its specifications and design.
* Complete servicing and repair of the systems.
* Diagnose issues.
* Write reports on the work involved.
* Assist and inform clients' maintenance staff.
* Be the professional face of the company.
If you have experience with fan extraction or smoke extraction, it's a bonus, but you will be trained for several months on their bespoke equipment.
