Profile Summary
The Facilities Management Department (FM) provides a full range of building and business related support services to our clients across Mizuho entities in London and throughout the EMEA region. Located in a prestigious 200,000 sq. ft. office in the heart of London, Mizuho is transforming its workplace to become more flexible and agile, with FM ideally placed at the centre of this exciting transformation.
The main purpose of this role is the financial management and accounting of the FM accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
* FM technical lead on Finance with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Management of external Service Charge and Accounts Payable consultants, assisting as required.
* Monitor and review budgets, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
* Prepare, maintain, and reconcile accurate FM accounts.
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual financial reporting.
* Develop and maintain KPIs for financial metrics to monitor performance and drive improvements.
* Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and the annual budget process.
* Assist in the preparation of the annual audit and liaise with auditors as required.
* Assist in the annual budget approval process, liaising with stakeholders.
* Assist with Head Office budget applications (Ringi) as required.
* Support the Head of Finance and Contracts with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in service charge accounting, preferably within financial services, property, or construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations related to service charges.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
