We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a temporary capacity. This is a Monday to Friday role, working from 8.30am to 4pm, with daily pay rates starting from £83. If you have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a background in the UK care sector, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting. • Assist with personal care needs, including manual handling and other support as required. • Work closely with teaching staff to implement learning plans and provide individualised support to students. • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring students’ wellbeing and development. Essential Requirements: • A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a UK SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting. • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. • A Child and Adult DBS registered on the update service. • A Care Certificate qualification. • Manual handling and epilepsy training. • Confidence and competence in providing personal care to students when necessary. Desirable: • Experience in the UK care sector, especially with SEN children or young adults. • A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with additional needs.
