Lead UI Designer
ADP has a vacancy for an experienced Lead UI Visual Designer to work within a team producing global HCM products.
This exciting opportunity is to be part of a growing international network of Designers and Researchers.
As a Lead UI Visual Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling, innovative design solutions that demonstrate the power and value of rich internet experiences. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ideate, design, and prototype web applications; contribute to design patterns and building blocks for our design system. Your priority will be to meet user needs in close partnership with product and engineering teams. You'll have a passion for solving problems and making complex systems of interaction fluid and easy to use. As a Lead Visual Designer, you will mentor others in the team and help set the direction for the projects you’re responsible for. Above all, you are curious and eager to understand how things work and able to translate that into a compelling user experience.
What we expect from you:
1. Partner with engineering, product, and teams across the organization to create intuitive and impactful user experiences.
2. Translate requirements and deliver wireframes, task flows, specifications, prototypes, and visual designs that are practical yet push boundaries.
3. Leverage modern web technologies to define innovative user interfaces and interaction models that result in improved user productivity and operational efficiency.
4. Understand and employ best practices for interaction design, usability, and supporting technologies.
5. Engage users, customers, and stakeholders through Design Thinking techniques.
Experience you'll need:
1. Proven commercial track record of Visual Design experience (with a portfolio to match).
2. Process-focused with the ability to explain ideas and show your working.
3. Experience designing for responsive web and an understanding of the technology behind it (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
4. Experience conducting and applying user research to guide design decisions.
5. Interest in working with and expanding a design system.
6. Ability to coordinate people, track user stories, and design deliverables.
7. Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and stakeholders.
8. Highly proficient in user journey mapping, information architecture, and communicating user flows.
9. Comfortable and fluent communicator with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders.
10. All applications must be accompanied by a portfolio of recent work.
