We are recruiting a Specialty Registrar LAS post (ST3 equivalent) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post is available from January 2025 for 12 months until January 2026.
The standard hours will be 40 hours per week plus participation in a full shift rota.
The post is for service purposes only and is therefore not recognised for postgraduate training.
The post is based at the Jessop Wing Hospital, Sheffield.
Main duties of the job
1. Supervise the day-to-day management of in-patients.
2. Liaise between Nurses, Midwives, patients, relatives, and senior medical staff.
3. Attend and participate in ward rounds as timetabled.
4. Attend outpatient clinics.
5. Take part in rostered labour ward duties and gynaecological emergency work.
6. Dictate discharge summaries.
7. Maintain continued professional development.
8. Attend weekly educational and multidisciplinary sessions.
9. Undertake audit as appropriate.
10. Teach medical students as directed.
11. Attend induction.
12. Comply with all local policies including dress code, annual and study leave.

Qualifications
Essential
* MBBS or equivalent qualification
* MRCOG Part 1
* Current ALS Certificate
* Eligible for full GMC registration with a license to practice by the date of application
