Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Heavy Plant Fitter / Mobile Service Engineer based in Bolton and the surrounding area.
Our client is a market-leading heavy plant organization looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their expanding operation. This role is a mobile service position.
Basic Package:
* Salary on offer of up to £40,000
* Vehicle with fuel card provided

Requirements:
* Must have a clean driving license
* Hold a CSCS/CPCS card to gain access to our construction site
* Be able to service and repair various makes of construction equipment (i.e., excavators, dumpers, rollers, etc.)
* Record keeping
* We are seeking an apprentice-trained or time-served service engineer within the heavy plant/construction plant sectors. Ideally, you will need to hold NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance
* Must be experienced working as a field service engineer attending breakdowns at customer sites, troubleshooting, and fault-finding any defects on machines and carrying out repairs
* You will need to have knowledge of auto-electrics; engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to diagnose faults on heavy construction plant such as diggers, dumpers, excavators, forklift trucks, road pavers, and telehandlers
Responsibilities:
* Complete repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance procedures according to customer needs and standard maintenance schedules
* Disassemble malfunctioning equipment when necessary to locate broken parts and complete repairs using specialized tools
* Extensive experience in fault diagnosis on hydraulic systems and electrical circuits
* Utilize your in-depth knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to perform diagnostics and provide effective solutions
* Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship
* Perform thorough fault finding and inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance measures
* Collaborate with the team to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety protocols
* Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and building positive client relationships
