The maternity services at the Royal Surrey has recently been rated Outstanding by the CQC. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to join our pharmacy team as Lead Pharmacist for Women and Children’s Division. Successful applicants will have significant hospital experience and be able to demonstrate consistent achievement in the areas outlined in the General Level Competency Framework. The role requires a breadth of clinical expertise, and experience of working closely with clinicians and driving change in practice. Candidates should hold a Diploma in Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent) and enthusiasm to pursue further postgraduate education will be supported. You should be a team player with the ability to introduce change and have a keen interest to actively participate in the training and development of others. The post holder will work as part of an established team and work closely with the Principal Pharmacist for Access and Medicine Division, to lead the delivery of pharmaceutical care to the Women’s and Children directorate. The post holder will also support medicines governance agenda for the Trust and wider healthcare systems. Training and experience in line management and supervision of trainee pharmacists and diploma students will be provided. The successful applicant will be required to participate in late night, weekend working and public holiday work. This is a full time post of 37.5 hours per week.
