Bookkeeper Position Overview
Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and updating general ledgers.
Prepare and process journal entries, adjustments, and accruals to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process accounts payable invoices, including verifying coding, obtaining approvals, and processing payments in a timely manner.
Generate and send invoices to clients, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on overdue payments as needed.
Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in cash balances.
VAT Returns and Tax Filings:
Assist in preparing VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and timely submission to tax authorities.
Support senior staff members in preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, as needed.
Client Support:
Provide administrative support to clients, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with document preparation and filing.
Liaise with clients to collect necessary financial information and documentation, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Bookkeeper Position Requirements
1. No required qualifications
2. Althought AAT or ATT is preferred
3. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
4. At least 2 years practice experience

5. £23-26k salary
