We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to manage complex cases related to safeguarding and sexual abuse. The successful candidate will work fully remote and support the Head of Department and Senior Associate in handling liability and advisory matters, including date breaches, fatalities, civil claims arising from sexual abuse, Human Rights Act allegations, and Mental Health claims. They will also assist in safeguarding advisory work and contribute to building the profile and business of the team. The candidate must have experience in running their own complex cases. How you'll make an impact Reporting and supporting the Head of Sensitive Claims and Safeguarding Managing a caseload of complex casualty claims, including those related to sexual abuse and fatalities, with minimal supervision Supporting the Head of Department and Senior Associate on their complex claims as needed Playing a key role in the growth and development of the team, including networking, business development, delivering seminars, and publications Reviewing, assessing, and providing opinions on relevant documents such as social work records, medical records, and safeguarding files Supporting and supervising junior team members Meeting chargeable hours and financial targets set each year Engaging with clients and expanding the client portfolio About You Experience in complex cases - sexual abuse, human rights, and mental health matters is preferable, but not essential Prior public or employer liability is essential and consideration will be made for those working in other complex fields medical/clinical Experience in independently managing complex cases is essential Experience in advising clients, both in writing and in person, is essential Ability to prioritise workloads effectively Ability to work fully remote Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational skills are essential Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Effective time-management skills Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost integrity and confidentiality Adherence to File Management best practices Self-motivated Highly adaptable and able to use initiative Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in MS Office Eligibility to work in the UK Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
