To provide a good quality professional secretarial service to senior managers, proof reading/completing clinical letters from clinics and or ward discharges for the consultants prior to sending to patients, and to provide a good quality secretarial service to the ACE wards and nurses, assisting in all administrative duties required as requested from the ACE Wards, Matrons and nurses.
Responsibilities include:
1. Use multiple computer systems as required within the department such as EPIC (MyCare), MS Office applications.
2. Supporting any ward covers on rotas and organising and supporting the Rota Co-Ordinator.
3. Supporting the ACE phone calls.
4. Attending meetings with the teams and clinicians and taking minutes of meetings.
5. Working with colleagues and team leaders to ensure that a professional, efficient, accurate, and timely service is provided.
6. Ensuring the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times.

Job responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and busy department as a Clinical Secretary. Within this role, you will work closely with the ACE wards, Matrons, and nursing team supporting them with day-to-day administration tasks. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team, can prioritise their workload, and remains calm under pressure.
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven experience in dealing with service users on the telephone, and be flexible and adaptable with excellent IT skills. You will enjoy the challenge of working as part of a busy team yet have the ability to use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the ward duties.
This position is fixed term for 12 months, working Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours.
