Job Description
Are you ready to be a key member of our Water team, driving growth, innovation and sustainability in the UK Water Sector?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and innovative team. As an ambitious professional with technical and delivery experience, you will have a background in integrated hydraulic and hydrological modelling. Your role will involve working with colleagues in the Egis Water team and collaborating with peers across all disciplines to help us build and deliver models to clients and to develop existing and new relationships with clients.
What you’ll do
* Work with our teams across the UK, Ireland and France to develop and deliver a range of hydraulic modelling services to our clients
* Provide technical and expert advice to clients, manage and deliver projects
* Support business development opportunities, contribution to tenders and proposals,
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
* Collaborate with wider Egis teams to develop market leading and innovative services to our clients
* Participate in industry events, seminars and conferences. Showcase Egis technical capability and project experience.

Qualifications
* BSc/Eng or MSc/Eng in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering disciplines
* Obtained or near to obtaining professional qualification with CIWEM or similar.
* Demonstrable client, contractor or consultancy experience in UK Water Sector
* Demonstrable knowledge of regulator (e.g. Environment Agency), modelling requirements and technical standards
* Knowledge of scripting / automation (e.g. Python, Ruby etc) advantageous
* Experience developing, verifying/calibrating and checking 1D and 2D hydraulic models
* Knowledge of working with integrated models (network/open channel/surface) and modelling to support DAPs
* Good understanding of hydrological assessment and analysis
* Flood risk modelling, assessments and mapping
* Interest in and knowledge of water quality models, which could include physio-chemical, biological, bacterial or chemical
* Experience using standard industry software in the UK e.g. InfoWorks ICM, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT
