About The Role
Waldon Telecom, a part of M Group Services Telecom Division, is an essential infrastructure services provider to the mobile telecommunication sector in the UK.
We work on behalf of large mobile network operators to acquire, design, and construct mobile telecommunication base stations across the country.
Due to our continued success, we are looking for aDesign Managerto be part of our Vodafone Design Team in the UK.
Having already started build works for Vodafone and winning further Design, Passive & Active Build works, we are now scaling our growth to meet client demand, and delivery top tier quality designs.
What will you be doing?
As theDesign Manager,you will manage the day-to-day delivery of the Vodafone design project, delivering GA's, DD's and As Built Drawings, to the highest possible quality.
This role fits within Waldon Telecom's Vodafone Design Operations Team and will work collaboratively with the Build Operations Teams
You are likely to work 3 days at home and 2 days going into the West Byfleet, Surrey OR Diseworth, Derby office.
What will your key responsibilities be?
* To review the site drawings from the Design Engineers and CAD Technicians.
* To ensure that best engineering practice is applied to, and review for sign off, in accordance with CDM2015, including:

All designs are provided with safe access and egress for engineers.
Ensuring relevant Structural Integrity/Ground Condition/GDC checks are in place and complied with.
Ensuring all designs are provided within ICNIRP Regulations and managed through concession processes.
* Overall ownership of the projects design phase delivering daily/weekly/monthly reporting into the Senior Project Manager.
* Become a single point of contact for seniors on the successful delivery of the design phase works.
* Deliver updates to key client stakeholders on the designs being produced and managed in the workstack.
What experience and skills are we looking for?
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Willingness to travel.
* Excellent knowledge of Structural Engineering design within a Telecoms (Mobile /Wireless ADC) environment.
* Excellent I.T. and database skills. (MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Access).
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet key deadlines in a pressurised, target driven environment, whilst maintaining a customer focused ethos.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build positive relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work within a multi-discipline team of professionals to achieve Business Goals.
* Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment to achieve programme targets.
* Approaches change in a positive way.
* Highly enthusiastic and motivated.
