Youth Mentors
to deliver impactful one-to-one support in the community. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a young persons life. Key Responsibilities
Deliver structured, community-based mentoring sessions aligned with the clients guidance framework
Act as a consistent and positive role model for mentees
Encourage personal development and raise awareness of risks including drug use, alcohol misuse, and exploitation
Build trusted relationships that promote reflection, growth, and positive change
Work with a Lead Mentor to define support goals and plan focused activities
Maintain accurate records of each session and participate in progress reviews
Uphold safeguarding practices and report any concerns appropriately
Attend occasional training days, supervision sessions, and team meetings
What Were Looking For
Essential: Personal experience of overcoming adversity or engaging in personal development
Previous experience supporting young people (e.g. youth work, education, mentoring, social care)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Full UK driving licence, access to a car, and business vehicle insurance
Desirable: Qualifications in youth work, education, social care, or mentoring
Experience supporting young people with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviours
Awareness of safeguarding protocols and youth support services
Experience facilitating 1:1 or group sessions
