PART-TIME LIBRARY ASSISTANT
Start date: required as soon as possible
Salary range: H3 point 5 to 6 (£24,790 to £25,183 FTE), depending on experience
Actual Salary Range: H3 £14,578 to £14,800 (including London Fringe Allowance)
Hours: 25 hours per week (term time only)
Monday to Friday 8.45am to 2.15pm with a 30-minute lunch break
Flexibility on working hours will be considered for the right candidate
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic part-time Library Assistant to work with the Librarian to assist in the day to day running of the Library. In-house training and support will be given as appropriate.
The school boasts an extensive library which has pride of place in our new building and is an integral part of the English department and of other departments within the school.
The school has been graded outstanding by Ofsted. The school was inspected by Ofsted in the June of 2024 and found to be ‘Outstanding’ in every category. The inspectors described the school as a “highly happy and purposeful place to be” and that “pupils treat each other with the utmost tolerance and respect”. They also referred to the “exceptional work” pupils produce and the “wealth of wider opportunities that promote personal development.”
In accordance with the school’s admissions criteria, children of staff at the school where the member of staff has been employed under a contract of employment with the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made or the member of staff is recruited under a contract of employment to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
